The Sunday Service - The Inbetweeners

An Insider's Guide to Cool Britannia...

This next column was inspired by Miss P @ www.missptv.com. She has a very natty website that often updates me on American pop culture, things that would’ve otherwise passed me by given that I reside in the UK. For example, one of her more recent posts was an interesting interview of Chris Brown on the Wendy Williams Show courtesy of WSHH (www.worldstarhiphop.com). She also did a great (and very witty) review of the 'Whitney on Oprah' interview, on her YouTube channel.

It seems only right and proper that I return the favour, and so, with that in mind, I’m starting a new post (every Sunday) called The Sunday Service. A blog where I’ll be showcasing, some of what I think is, the best of British entertainment and rating it out of a possible five stars. It's really a feature for all those people outside the UK, who may be partial to a bit of Blighty every now-and-again and don't wanna miss out...

www.cheyelleomar.com has only been ‘live’ for just over a month and I’ve already exceeded 500 hits! So, I’m sending out a humongous thank you, to anyone, anywhere in the world, who took time-out to read my blog. It’s funny, cos I started out doing this website for myself, by-way-of a distraction to a difficult period in my life. But it appears, I have indeed found salvation - in you. I can’t begin to tell ya, how much I appreciate it. Thank you so much for finding me and reading me.

The Sunday Service - The Inbetweeners.

It’s puerile, irreverent and utterly colloquial. Britain’s answer to NBC’s A Different World.

Sorry about the poor quality of the clip…the pesky ‘copyright police’ have virtually obliterated any public uploads of the show. However, I recently read, Channel 4 will be uploading full-length shows (inc. The Inbetweeners) on YouTube. – I’m really hoping this will mean people outside the UK will get to enjoy this brilliant comedy too!
