The Bachelorette Menus - Menu 1

Meals for confirmed bachelors & bachelorettes...

The Kippocado

Ok, so I think I’ve invented a new breakfast. If anybody out there has had this meal before, please comment or drop me a line. Cos, I really do believe I’ve invented a sensational new breakfast. - I’m calling it, The Kippocado.

What you need:

1            packet of boil in the bag kippers (M&S do a very nice range)
1            avocado (soft to the touch - not hard)
1            tablespoon* of olive oil (extra virgin)
½           tablespoon of malt vinegar
1            bottle of hot sauce (Tabasco)

I can’t cook for shit, but this meal is so easy to make even Abu Hamza could do it.

How I do’s it:
  • Boil the kippers in the bag (as directed on the packaging).
  • Peel the avocado and then remove the pit/seed from the centre.
  • Discard the pit/seed and slice the avocado (as above).
  • Once the kipper is cooked, remove from the bag and place on plate.
  • Lay the cut avocado around the kipper (as pictured).
  • Mix the olive oil & vinegar together to make a dressing and drizzle over the avocado.
  • Then add the hot sauce as desired (I like a lot)

Honestly, it’s the kind of meal that makes me believe in Jesus. Every mouthful tastes like God is telling you something great and Tupac is still alive! Mmmm…and apparently, avocado has more potassium than a banana and more fibre than any other fruit (click here for info on avocados). I call it a breakfast, but really, it's the type of meal that you can have at any time of day or night. Try it out and let me know what you think, cos if you ask me, this dish really is the ‘izzle’…

I recommend you have it with a glass of ice-cold homemade lemonade, or, if you ain't got time for all that “homemade” tomfoolery (like me) – I suggest you have it with a lovely glass of Robinsons Lemon Barley Water, with extra ice (as I do).

Oh yeah, here’s a cherry… if you ain’t watching the ‘carbs’ cut yourself a nice piece of French bread (or any other type of crusty loaf) to mop-up the plate with…Boo-yaa!

Enjoy…
