Honour Among Thieves?

- The have-a-go-hero…

"Sukhwinder Singh was attacked while pursuing two men who mugged a 28-year-old woman near Barking station in east London on Friday night. Mr. Singh, 31, had chased the men along Victoria Road, into Uphall Road, where he was stabbed at about 1900 GMT, the Metropolitan Police said. The father-of-one was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he died. Police said he was an Indian national working in the UK as a builder whose family lived in India. He is thought to have been staying with cousins in Barking." (Source: BBC News)

Oh dear, I fear we lost a good man. I hope the perpetrators are caught. I know some will say he was silly to have intervened and it wasn’t worth it; just for a purse, and maybe that’s true. But the thing is…what price do you put on a courageous death?

R.I.P. Courageous Mr. Singh – We lost a hero, at a time when heroes are thin on the ground.

Cheyelle.
