–The World Premiere
I wrote this song when I was living in New York. I had a great time working with the producer/co-writer - my friend Tony Conniff - in his little studio off 7th Ave. Recently we finished it; it’s not on iTunes, it’s not for sale, you don’t have to tell a friend about it and I don’t give-a-fuck if Nine Inch Nails don’t like it. It ain’t heroin, it ain’t poetry – it’s just Pop. The song's narcotic equivalent would be 2 ProPlus™ and a can of Red Bull. But I likes it and I wanted the readers of this blog to be the first hear it – cos I likes you, too.
With a bit of luck the Noisettes will want it and Mark Ronson (or some other equally popular “superstar DJ”) will remix it. Failing that, we’ll just keep it between ourselves, and I’ll continue enjoying dancing around my crib to it, first thing in the morning, with nothing but my shortsies on.
