–London Calling

You know what, usually it's Sydney (Australia) that presents the best New Year's pyrotechnical display (Paris's show is usually pretty dapper, too). But it's gotta be said, this year, London gave it to me (big style!). Last night's spectacular marked the first time the fireworks have been accompanied by music - and the result, was, in my opinion, breathtaking. I wont lie to you, I was buzzin' on it.

I know all the naysayers will be out in force, carping on about the fireworks being a waste of money, "In this harsh economic climate." Pooh-poohing the event as an extravagant folly.  But – even though I only witnessed the pyrotechnics on my laptop – I loved them. I bet there were loads of poor bastards stuck at home; penniless, worried about the financial strife 2011 will bring, who would've got a nice little kick out that display too. Enjoy…

To those that planned, choreographed and executed the show - well-fucking-done! I really appreciate what you did. It was rousing.


Roll on 2011…I'm ready for you.
